OpenCourseWare es una iniciativa del MIT (Instituto Tecnológico de Massachusetts, EE. UU.) que consiste en la publicación abierta y sin cargo en internet de materiales educativos (al menos de pregrado y grado) de los docentes de este instituto. La publicación nació en 1999 y alcanza los 1400 cursos. Ahora, el MIT lanza un proyecto que se ha estado gestando en los dos últimos años y de una importancia tal como lo fue hace ya 6 años el anuncio de la publicación de sus cursos: el OpenCourseWare Consortium.

OpenCourseWare (MIT OCW) is an initiative of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to put all of the educational materials from MIT's undergraduate and graduate-level courses online, free and openly available to anyone, anywhere. It all started in 1999 and over 1400 courses are available online. Now MIT is launching a project that they have been developing for the last two years, equally important to the announcement of the publication of their courses: the OpenCourseWare Consortium.

Qué es eXeLearning, qué usos podemos darle, qué significación tiene en la Educación, qué relación guarda con Contenidos Abiertos... De todo esto hablamos en nuestro post de Educación. eXe es una herramienta de authoring desarrollada por dos universidades neozelandesas. Dicho de otro modo, es una especie de garage learning. Es decir, eXe sirve para fabricar unidades o recursos didácticos propios y colgarlos en Internet o en un LMS como Moodle, por ejemplo, sin tener ni idea de XHTML y con el fin de que puedan ser utilizados cotidianamente por los alumnos.

eXe learning and Open Content

What is eXelearning, how can we use it, what does it mean for Education, how is it related to Open Content...? We talk about all this in our post of Education. Exe is an authoring tool developed by two universities of New Zealand. In another words, it is a kind of garage learning. That is, eXe is used to build your own units or didactic resources and upload them on the Internet or in an LMS, such as Moodle, without the need to become proficient in HTML, so that they can be used by students daily.
